Tamil Nadu Teacher Recruitment: 2,222 Posts Notified, Apply From Nov 1

TN TRB has invited applications for 2,222 vacancies for graduate teachers and block resource teacher educators (BRTE).

The Tamil Nadu Teachers Recruitment Board (TN TRB) has announced the recruitment for 2,222 vacancies for graduate teachers and block resource teacher educators (BRTE). Eligible candidates can complete the registration process for the Tamil Nadu graduate teacher recruitment between November 1 and 30 on the official website at trb.tn.gov.in. The Tamil Nadu graduate teacher examination is scheduled to take place on January 7, 2024. To be eligible for this recruitment, candidates must have cleared the Tamil Nadu Teacher Eligibility Test (TN TET) paper 2. Additionally, the maximum age limit for applicants is 53 years, although candidates from specific categories, including SC, ST, BC Muslims, BC, MBC/DNC, and DW, have an extended age limit of up to 58 years.

TN Teacher Recruitment Vacancies:

Directorate of School Education (including 171 ST shortfall): 2,171 vacancies.

Directorate of MBC/DNC Welfare (Including 19 SC shortfall and 4 ST shortfall): 23 vacancies.

Directorate of Adi-Dravidar Welfare: 16 vacancies.

Directorate for Welfare of the Differently Abled: 12 vacancies.

The total number of vacancies: 2,222.

Eligibility Criteria For TN Teacher Recruitment:

Candidates interested in the position should meet the following criteria:

  1. Hold a bachelor's degree and a two-year Diploma in Elementary Education.

  2. Alternatively, candidates with a bachelor's degree who have secured at least 45% marks and possess a BEd degree are also eligible to apply.

  3. Those who have obtained a minimum of 50% marks in Class 12 and hold a four-year Bachelor in Elementary Education (BElEd) or a four-year BA/BScEd or BAEd/BScEd degree are eligible for the recruitment process.

  4. Candidates with a BEd (Special Education) degree and a bachelor's degree with at least 50% marks are also eligible.

  5. Applicants should have a degree or its equivalent in the relevant subjects for which the recruitment is being conducted.

  6. Proficiency in the Tamil language is a prerequisite for candidates applying for these positions.

Age Limit:

The maximum age limit for candidates in the General Category eligible for direct recruitment to this selection process is 53 years as of the first day of July in the recruitment year, which is 2023.

Candidates from Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, Backward Class Muslims, Backward Classes, MBC/DNC, and Differently-abled (DW) candidates of all castes have a higher age limit, which is 58 years as of the first day of July in the recruitment year, 2023.

Examination Fee:

The examination fee for this recruitment is Rs. 600 for all candidates, except for those falling under the SC, SCA, ST, and differently-abled categories, who are eligible for a reduced fee of Rs. 300.
