Southern Railway Recruitment 2021: Southern Railway has invited online applications for the recruitment of 3,378 apprentice posts on its official website. Interested and eligible candidates can apply for the positions online at sr.indianrailways.gov.in. Aspirants who have completed their high school, intermediate, and ITI can apply for these posts. The last date of online application is June 30, 2021.
The recruitment drive is being conducted to fill 3,378 vacancies, out of which, 936 vacancies are for the Carriage Works, Perambur, 756 for the GoldenRock Workshop, and 1,686 for the Signal and Telecom Workshop Podanur. The selected candidates will be given training for about 1.3 years. During this, they will get a stipend of Rs. 6000-7000 per month.
Last Date of Application: According to the notification, the last date for online application is June 30, 2021. Candidates have to complete and submit the application form on or before 30th June, until 5 pm.
Educational Qualification: Candidates applying for the non-technical position should have a high school and intermediate background. However, candidates with ITI certificates are eligible to apply for technical posts.
Age Limit: The age requirements vary according to the type of post. For some posts, it is 15-22 years, while for others, it is 15-24 years. Reserve category candidates will get relaxation in age limit as per rules.
Application Fee: Candidates belonging to the General and OBC categories are required to pay an application fee of Rs. 100. However the SC, ST, specially-abled, and female candidates are exempted from the payment of any registration fee.
