The Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) has extended the registration deadline for the recruitment of various RRB D positions (CEN number 08/2024). Initially set to close on February 22, the application window will now remain open until March 1, 2025. Additionally, the deadline for paying the examination fee has been extended to March 3.
Candidates requiring modifications in their application form can do so during the correction window, which will be open from March 4 to 13 upon payment of the modification fee.
RRB Application Fee and Pay Scale
The application fee for the recruitment process is Rs 500. Selected candidates will receive an initial pay of Rs 18,000 as per the 7th Central Pay Commission pay matrix.
RRB Recruitment: Total Vacancies and Application Process
A total of 32,438 vacancies will be filled under Level 1 of the 7th CPC pay matrix. Interested candidates can submit their applications through the official RRB website at rrbapply.gov.in.
RRB Recruitment Group-D Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must be between 18 and 36 years old as of January 1, 2025. As a special measure due to the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic, candidates who may have missed previous recruitment cycles have been granted a one-time age relaxation of three years.
Candidates must also meet the required medical standards for their selected positions. Those who fail the prescribed medical examination will not be considered for the role, and no alternative placement will be provided.
It is important to ensure that the date of birth entered in the application matches the one recorded in the Matriculation/SSLC or an equivalent certificate.
