Prime Minister Narendra Modi will hand over more than 71,000 recruitment letters to newly inducted recruits during the Rozgar Mela on April 13. The Prime Minister will address the Rozgar Mela via video conferencing where he will also be addressing the new appointees. A total of 71,341 new appointees will be handed over appointment letters by the Prime Minister during the event. The Rozgar Mela furthers the Prime Minister’s vision and mission to accord optimal priority to employment generation and offer optimal growth prospects to the youth of the country.
The Rozgar Mela is expected to act as a catalyst in further employment generation and provide meaningful opportunities to the youth for their empowerment and participation in national development. During the Rozgar Mela, the Prime Minister will be distributing appointment letters to new joinees at various posts in as many as 45 departments with joining locations in as many as 45 different places in the country.
The new recruits, selected from across the country, will join various positions/posts under the Government of India like Train Manager, Station Master, Sr. commercial cum Ticket Clerk, Inspector, Sub Inspectors, Constable, Stenographer, Junior Accountant, Postal Assistant, Income Tax Inspector, Tax Assistant, Sr Draughtsman, JE/Supervisor, Assistant Professor, Teacher, Librarian, Nurse, Probationary Officers, PA, MTS, among others.
Moreover, all the new appointees will also get a chance to undergo training through the Karmyogi Prarambh scheme which is an online orientation course for all new appointees who join various government departments.
Notably, earlier in November 2022, the Prime Minister distributed 71,056 appointment letters to newly inducted recruits of Rozgar Mela via video conferencing. Addressing the newly recruits, the Prime Minister emphasized and underlined the new responsibilities which the new recruits were going to undertake. You are getting this new responsibility in a special era. The country has entered Amrit Kaal. We the citizens have taken the resolution to make India a developed nation in this duration. To attain this resolution, you're going to be the 'saarthi' of the country," the PM said.
