The Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) has postponed the KSET (Karnataka State Eligibility Test) 2023 Exam. After the postponement, the exam has been tentatively rescheduled to be held on December 31, 2023. The KEA notified about the postponement of the exam, through a post on X (formerly Twitter). “State Assistant Professor Eligibility Test (K-Set 23) scheduled to be held on November 26 has been postponed. Executive Director of KEA S. Ramya said that a provisional date has been fixed to be held on December 31,” the KEA stated in its post on X.
As per the previous schedule, the KEA was scheduled to conduct the KSET 2023 Exam on November 26, 2023. The KSET 2023 Exam is being organised to recruit professors at various levels in different colleges across Karnataka. The KSET 2023 Exam will be conducted for a total of 41 subjects. Moreover, the exam has been scheduled to be held in two sessions: 10 am to 11 am, and 12 noon to 2 pm, where the exam paper will have multiple-choice questions.
While the Paper-1 shall consist of 50 questions with a maximum of 100 marks, the second paper shall consist of 100 questions for a maximum of 200 marks. In order to clear the KSET 2023 Exam, candidates from the unreserved categories will be required to score a minimum of 40%, while SC, ST, PwD, transgender categories will be required to score a minimum aggregate of 35% marks.
Candidates who clear the KSET 2023 Exam shall be eleigible to be appointed as professors of relevant subjects in various colleges across Karnataka.
