The Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) has cancelled the BPSC TRE-3 (Teachers’ Recruitment Exam-3) 2024. The move from the BPSC comes following allegations of the BPSC TRE-3 Exam Paper Leak surfaced after the conduct of exams. The commission notified the cancellation of the exam through an official notice on its website - bpsc.bih.nic.in.
“The third phase of the Bihar Teacher’s Recruitment Exam (BPSC TRE-3) was held on March 15, 2024, in two shifts. The Economic Offences Unit (EOU) Bihar, Patna has reported that an organised gang had access to the question paper of the exam, before the conduct of the exam. The EOU, Bihar, Patna, has registered a case under various provisions and a detailed probe into the matter is underway,” reads the official notice in this regard.
“Under the said circumstances, following an appropriate review of the matter and in the larger interest of students alongside the commitment of the commission to conduct fair and transparent examinations, the BPSC TRE-3 Examination conducted on March 15, 2024, has been cancelled for both shifts,” the notice adds further. In its notice, the BPSC further states that the schedule for the re-examination of the BPSC TRE-3 Exam shall be notified later.
Earlier, last week, the Economic Offences Unit of the Bihar government on certain tip-offs, conducted raids at multiple locations in Jharkhand’s Hazaribagh in connection with the alleged BPSC TRE-3 paper-leak matter, as per a PTI report. In its raid, the EOU detained more than 270 candidates after discovering that several candidates who were brought from Bihar were supplied with BPSC TRE-3 question papers before the exam.
