With the new policy, candidates from any state can now be considered for teaching jobs in Bihar's government schools.

The state cabinet in Bihar on May 2 approved a proposal to recruit 1.78 lakh teachers for primary, middle, and upper classes in government schools. The proposal included the recruitment of 85,477 primary teachers, 1,745 middle school teachers, and 90,804 teachers for upper classes.
