New Delhi: A recent study, The Quest Report 2024, has revealed that one in four Gen Z respondents in India is gravitating towards emerging job fields such as Artificial Intelligence, cybersecurity, and content creation. Additionally, 43% of these young individuals are willing to sacrifice work-life balance to achieve career success. The report also highlights that only 9% of respondents are interested in pursuing entrepreneurship, preferring the stability and security of traditional career paths.
















The report is organised into three primary areas: the drive and motivation of Gen Z Questers to pursue their dreams, the obstacles that challenge their passion journey, and the career choices that fuel their interests.

  • Gap Year Empowerment: 91% of Indian Gen Z students believe that taking a gap year can help them pursue their dreams and aspirations.

  • New-Age Careers: 1 in 4 Indian students is drawn to emerging fields like data analysis, AI, cybersecurity, and content creation.

  • Financial Barriers: 46% of Indian respondents identify financial constraints as a major barrier to pursuing their chosen careers, yet over 90% remain confident in achieving their dreams.
