Some tips from toppers to crack the JEE Advanced exam:
• Follow your own method of study, don’t suddenly change how you prepare because you found some flashy tip on the internet. Trust the process and be patient, even if it feels like you’re studying the same material over and over again.
• Solve lots of mock papers, it will help you understand how the question papers work. It is key to understand how the question paper works and push your brain into thinking analytically.
• About 80 percent of the paper is math-oriented, most importantly calculus, some ex-alumni suggest permutation and combination along with probability.
• JEE Advanced is a 3-hour long exam so it is important to time yourself, while solving mock papers, you should be able to finish at least 90 percent quickly enough to have time to solve the really tough questions.
• Stick to what you know in the last days. Don’t start new topics and study what you have prepared so far, study from reference books alongside NCERT books. But make sure the reference books are meant for JEE preparation.
• Follow a strict time table, eat a well-balanced meal, and get at least 6 hours of sleep. A tired mind will have a tough time trying to think analytically.
