The Intelligence Bureau (IB) under the Ministry of Home Affairs has invited applications for the recruitment of Security Assistant/Executive (SA/EXE) and Multi-Tasking Staff/General (MTS/GEN). 


Candidates who are interested in the Intelligence Bureau Recruitment 2023 can register themselves and submit their applications online on mha.gov.in or ncs.gov.in. Online application process for the IB Recruitment 2023 will begin from January 28 and close on February 17. The online application fee for the recruitment drive is Rs 50, and Rs 450 recruitment processing charge.


Earlier, the online application window for the IB Recruitment 2023 was scheduled to be opened from January 21. However, the Ministry of Home Affairs, through an official notification on its website, announced the postponement of the recruitment process to January 28.

The IB Recruitment 2023 aims to fill a total of 1,675 vacancies in the posts of Security Assistant/Executive (SA/EXE) and Multi-Tasking Staff/General (MTS/GEN).

The final shortlisting of candidates to the 277 posts on offer through the IB Recruitment 2023 will be done on the basis of a two-tier exam, followed by Personal Interview/ Personality Test. However, for the post of SA/Exe, candidates will also be required to appear for a spoken ability test. Intelligence Bureau Recruitment 2023: Eligibility Criteria


To apply for the IB Recruitment 2023, candidates must fulfill the following eligibility criteria, as prescribed:



  • Educational Qualification - Class 10 or equivalent

  • Age-Limit for MTS - 18-25 years

  • Age-Limit for SA/SXE - 18-27 years

  • Domicile - Possession of domicile certificate of that State against which the candidate has applied.

  • Candidates must have knowledge of any one of the local languages/dialects mentioned in Table ‘A’ above against each SIB.
