Success Story Of IAS Topper Yashwant Meena: If you think that the life of a successful individual is lined with success, you are grossly mistaken. The life of a successful person is riddled with stories of failures they had to face before achieving success. However, the world only remembers the end result. The journey of UPSC is quite similar, where most people have to wait a long time to achieve success.

However, Yashwant Meena, who secured the All-India Rank 797 in the 2019 UPSC Civil Services Examination, had to wait a little too long to taste success. After 10 years of struggles, he finally achieved his goal. There were several failures along the way, but his hope and hard work prevailed.

Completed Engineering After Intermediate
Yashwant Meena, originally from Jaipur, Rajasthan, was a smart student. After his intermediate, he pursued engineering. During his graduation, he decided to try for UPSC. After completing his degree, he started preparing for UPSC. Initially, he had no idea that his UPSC journey would be this long.

This is What Yashwant Considers Important
Even though Yashwant tasted success only in the fifth attempt in UPSC, he showed remarkable patience during this time. He believes that the skill of 'answer writing' plays a very important role in UPSC. And hence, answer writing should be practiced as much as possible. They say that the better your answer is written, the better marks you get.
