The Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB) on Tuesday announced its Class-10 results on Tuesday. This year, Himanshu Raj scored the highest among all students with 96.20 percent.
The student, who is from Bihar's Rohtas district, has overcome his humble circumstances and challenges to get this far. He revealed that he used to study for 14-15 hours everyday while preparing for his exams and then join his father in selling vegetables in the local market.
His parents and the well-wishers around gave him the much-needed motivation to continue with his dedicated efforts so that he does not lose hope in between.
"My exam preparations went well. I used to study for 14-15 hours every day. My parents, siblings and neighbours motivated me to continue with it," - Himanshu Raj.
As expected, both the parents have been overjoyed by their son's feat. However, this isn't a first for them. Himanshu's father Subhash Singh, who is a farmer, revealed that his daughter too last year excelled in her studies and scored 88% in her exams.
Emphasising on how parents have the responsibility to provide their full support for their children, Subhash Singh said that he has done all that he could for both his daughter and son.
Even before the results, the father was confident that his son would score over 90% in the exams.
This success story of a farmer's son going on to achieve an impressive academic feat has been met with great celebration as congratulatory wishes continue to pour in from all over.
