Males not only scored more but also held top positions in the state. The top two positions are held by males while the third rank is jointly shared by a boy and a girl.
The top position holder this year is Himanshu Raj who scored 96.20 per cent in matriculation exams 2020. Till now, the highest ever score in class 10 exams stands to be 97.2 per cent which was scored last year by Sawan Raj Bharti.
He scored the highest marks by a class 10 BSEB topper and his record stays put this year too.
Bihar's BSEB board had initially decided to declare Class - 10 results by the end of March or the first week of April. However, due to the COVID-19 induced nationwide lockdown, BSEB could not complete the evaluation of answer sheets and had to stop it midway.
The academic authority later announced that the result of the class will be delayed. After a few relaxations in lockdown guidelines, the BSES resumed evaluation of exam sheets on May 6.
