The University of Delhi (DU) is launching its undergraduate programme admissions online via the CSAS admission portal. According to the Indian Express, the admission registration commences today, 12th September and ends on 3rd October. Students can register on the official website, admission.uod.ac.in, to submit an application to DU.
“We will keep the admission portal open for 21 days. The portal will close by October 3 evening. We will start our counselling after that,” the senior official was quoted by The Indian Express in its report.
What Is CSAS Portal?
The University of Delhi (DU) launched the Common Seat Allocation System (CSAS) portal for admission for the academic year 2022-23. The new admission process of DU will be conducted in three phases through the CSAS portal. As per the official website of DU, the details of the three phases are following:
(i) Firstly, the intersedted candidates for the undergraduate programmes will have to apply via the Common Seat Allocation System (CSAS) application form available on the common portal. Then they will have to make a one-time (non-refundable) payment
(ii) In the second phase, if the candidate is eligible for her desired programme, she will be able to select the programme and college combinations he/she prefers.
(iii) The third phase of admission is the allotment of seats, which will take place in multiple rounds. Once the merit list is declared, the candidate will have to check the seat and college allotted on the common admission portal.
How To Register On The Portal – Steps To Follow:
Following are the steps that are to be followed for registration and enrollment on the DU website.
Step 1: Go to the official website of University Of Delhi (DU) — admission.uod.ac.in.
Step 2: Click on the link that reads admission for the undergraduate programme.
Step 3: Register on the website using the required information.
Step 4: Enter all the required personal and educational details, and upload mark sheets, photographs, and signature.
Step 5: Submit the registration fees through the given online portals.
Step 6: Download the application confirmation and save it for future reference.
This year, DU is supposed to admit students on the basis of their performance in the Common University Entrance Test or CUET-UG. The University Grants Commission (UGC) chairperson M Jagadesh Kumar said that the National Testing Agency is aiming to release the CUET-UG results by September 15.
