Class 12th Exam 2021: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will chair a meeting on the prospects of conducting the class 12 board examinations amidst the covid-19 pandemic on Tuesday evening, official sources informed ANI. 


"Prime Minister Narendra Modi will chair an important meeting regarding Class 12 Board Examinations, this evening. He will be briefed on all possible options, as a result of the extensive discussions with all states and other stakeholders," the Government of India sources were quoted by ANI in its report. 


Earlier on May 31, the plea regarding the cancellation of CBSE and CISCE class 12 board examinations was heard by the Supreme Court bench. The bench later adjourned the hearing till June 3, 2021, after the Central government asked for the time to take a final decision regarding the matter.

The Central government informed the bench that it will take a final call regarding the cancellation of the CBSE and CISC class 12 board examination till Thursday, June 3, 2021, and asked for a two days time. 


Advocate Mamta Sharma had filed the petition, asking the court to frame an objective methodology for the declaration of Class 12 results within a specific time frame.


Meanwhile, the Union Education Minister Dr. Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank was admitted to the All India Institute Of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in New Delhi due to post COVID complications today. Sources earlier informed that the education minister was expected to meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi and brief him on the suggestions put forth by the respective state education boards in regards to conducting class 12 board exams.
