CGBSE Class 12th Result 2019 declared, Yogendra Verma tops with 97.4%; pass percentage up at 78.43%

CGBSE Class 12th Result 2019: The Chhattisgarh Board of Secondary Education (CGBSE) has declared the Class 12th today i.e. on 10th May 2019. The results of higher secondary were declared at 1 pm today by CGBSE Chairperson Gaurav Dwivedi and Secretary V K Goel at a press conference in Chhattisgarh Pareeksha Bhawan, Raipur. The overall pass percentage has been recorded at 78.43%, showing a spike of 1.43% vis a vis 77% in 2018. Yogendra Verma of Maharana Pratap School, Lormi has bagged the top rank with 97.4% for Class 12th exams 2019. Hailing from the Munhgeli district of Chhattisgarh, Yogendra aspires to be an IAS officer. A total of 2,59,944 students took class 12th board exams this year for general streams like Arts, Commerce and Science, out of which 2,03, 893 students have qualified the higher secondary exams that will open the gateways to various higher education courses at undergraduate level. A total of 1931 students had reportedly appeared for Class 12th vocational stream, out of which 1904 passed their exams. The overall pass percentage for vocational stream stands at 98.8% which is also higher than last year’s 94.3%. Gender wise, girls have once again outshone boys with 81.08% and 75.53% pass percentages, respectively. The students of both genders have shown improvement from their last year’s pass percentages viz 79.04% for girls and 74.45% boys. A total of 3 servers are deployed by the Chhattisgarh Board for students of Class 12th, out of which two servers are for general streams and 1 server to check vocational exam results for the year 2019.
