CBSE Exam Date 2020: Union Minister for Human Resource Development Ramesh Pokhriyal took to Twitter to announce that CBSE will release the exam datesheets for Class 10th and 12th on Monday (May 18). The board was not able to conduct the Class 10th and 12th exams on eight days due to the Coronavirus outbreak in the country. Earlier in the day, Pokhriyal had announced that datesheets will be released on Saturday (May 16) at 5pm. However, CBSE is 'taking into consideration some additional technical aspects' and the new dates will be revealed next week.


“#CBSE is taking into consideration some additional technical aspects before finalizing the datesheets of the board exams of classses 10th and 12th, due to which, the datesheets will now be released by Monday i.e. 18-05-2020. Inconvenience caused is sincerely regretted,” Pokhriyal wrote on the micro-blogging site.


"Attention Students! Releasing the date sheet for #CBSE Board Examinations for Class 10th and 12th today at 5.00 pm. Stay tuned for more details," Dr Pokhriyal earlier tweeted.


Earlier this month, Nishank had said that CBSE will conduct pending class 10th and 12th board exams from July 1st to July 15th.

"Since a long time the dates of pending exams of class 10th and 12th were awaited. It has been decided that these examinations will be held between 1.07.2020 to 15.07.2020. I convey my best wishes to all the students who will take up the examination,” he had said in a previous announcement.

Class 10, 12 board exams were held till March 18. CBSE had updated that the remaining exams will be held for 29 main subjects only.

Earlier it was announced that class 10 exams will be held in schools located in north east part of Delhi where the exam could not be conducted because of riots.

Students, teachers, and all stake holders will get at least 10-day notice before scheduling the exams, this information has been given in the circular uploaded by CBSE on April 1.
