CBSE Board Class 12 Results: As the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) on Thursday released the Class 12 results, parents are nothing but euphoric with the performance of their children – one of them being Union Minister Smriti Irani herself. Irani is undoubtedly a proud mother today as her son Zohr Irani scored 94 per cent in Economic in the CBSE Class 12 examinations. The results, in which 83.4 per cent of student passed, were declared by the Central Education board at 1 pm today. Zohr also scored 91 per cent in the best of four subjects.

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader, who is busy campaigning for her party for the ongoing Lok Sabha Elections, shared her son’s results with her followers of micro-blogging site Twitter a while back. “Ok saying it out loud— proud of my son Zohr..not only did he come back with a bronze medal from the World Kempo Championship also scored well in 12th boards. Best of 4– 91% .. special yahoo for 94% in economics.. Maaf karna ,today I’m just a gloating Mom,” Irani tweeted.


Girls have outshined boys this time too by registering 9 per cent in CBSE class 12 Examination this year. The boys pass percentage stands at 79.4, transgender at 83.3 while girls have scored 88.7 per cent. Soon after the results were announced by the CBSE, Prime Minister Narendra Modi took to Twitter and congratulated the successful candidates.

“Congratulations to all my young friends who have successfully passed the CBSE Class XII examinations. My best wishes to them for their endeavours. Kudos also to their parents and teachers for the valuable support,” PM Modi tweeted.

Apart from Irani, the CBSE Class 12 results brought a moment of joy even for the family of Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal as his son Pulkit Kejriwal bagged 96.4 per cent marks in the examination.

Pulkit Kejriwal, a student of Delhi Public School DPS Noida sector-30, earlier did exceedingly well his Class 10th board exams. Pulkit scored 10 Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) in his 2017 Class 10th Board Exams, with 10 CGPA in subjects like English, Mathematics, Science, Social Science and Hindi.


Hansika Shukla from DPS Meerut Road, Ghaziabad and Karishma Arora from SD Public School, Muzaffarnagar both scored 499/500 marks, becoming country toppers with 99.80 per cent.
