This year, the CBSE has reduced 30% of its syllabus for class 10th and 12th students. The academic session began a bit late due to the pandemic. Classes were held online amid the lockdown. Students from class 9th onwards were allowed to visit school voluntarily, with a written consent of their parents, from September 21 onwards.
As many as 30 lakh students appeared for the class 10th and 12th board exams that were held earlier this year. However, some papers were cancelled due to the Covid-19 outbreak in March. Students were evaluated on the basis of a new assessment scheme. CBSE Board result 2020 was declared in the month of July.
