CBSE Class 12th Accounts Paper Analysis 2019: Students who had practiced well from their NCERT Textbook and mastered time management skills would have found the paper manageable to complete within the allotted 3 hours.
CBSE Class 12th Accounts Paper Analysis 2019: The Central Board of School Examination (CBSE) organized the Accountancy Paper for Class 12th Commerce stream today i.e. 6th March 2019 across the country, and as per students in various states, the examination was moderate yet lengthy.
The CBSE Class 12th Accountancy Paper comprises of two parts viz Part A - Accounting for Partnership Firms and Companies carrying 60 Marks; while there’s a choice between Part B - Financial Statement Analysis and Part C - Computerised Accounting carrying 20 marks weightage.
Students and teachers agreed that the paper was set from the prescribed textbook, however, many students could not attempt the whole paper due to its lengthy nature. Students who had practiced well from their NCERT Textbook and mastered time management skills would have found the paper manageable to complete within the allotted 3 hours.
There are reports doing round, that one of the set had confusion in one of the 8-mark question, in which, rather than asking the examinees to create a Revaluation Account, the question asked them to create a Realization Account. This could be a misprint for which teacher’s may plan to write to CBSE.
In the past years, there have been many instances of misprints or some kind of confusion in exam pattern, out of syllabus questions, etc in the board exams of not just CBSE but other prominent boards too. In such events, the students experience anxiety and are not able to focus on the rest of the paper which they are capable of attempting otherwise.
Parents and teachers must guide the students to be prepared for such eventualities and stay calm enough to move ahead with the rest of the questions so as to secure good marks. Students must know that education boards like CBSE have feedback mechanism in place, as per which, necessary action is taken in case of inadvertent errors to protect student’s interest.
