CAT 2024 Registration: The Indian Institute of Management (IIM) will close the CAT 2024 registration window today at 5:00 pm. Candidates who are yet to apply can fill out the application form on the official website at iim.cat.ac.in. According to the schedule, the CAT 2024 examination will be conducted in three sessions on November 24, 2024. The examination will be conducted in test centres spread across 170 test cities. Students will be allowed to select any five test cities in order of their preference. 


Common Admission Test is a national-level examination conducted for admission to PG and fellow/doctorate-level courses offered by the Indian Institute of Management. Interested students are advised to participate in the CAT 2024 registration process before the deadline.






CAT 2024 Eligibility



  • Candidates must hold a Bachelor's Degree with at least 50% marks (45% for SC/ST/PwD) from a recognized institution.

  • Final-year students or those awaiting results can apply but must provide proof of completing their degree requirements if selected.

  • Those who completed a professional degree (CA/CS/ICWA/FIAI) can also apply.

Here are the steps to complete the CAT 2024 registration process:


Step 1: Visit the official website at iim.cat.ac.in.


Step 2: On the homepage, click on 'New Candidate Registration'.


Step 3: Enter your details and click 'Submit'.


Step 4: Verify your registration by generating an OTP.


Step 5: Upload the necessary documents and pay the registration fee.


Step 6: Review your form and click 'Submit'.


Step 7: Download the confirmation page for future reference.

CAT 2024 Registration Fee


Students can check the CAT 2024 registration fee below:



  • For SC/ST and PwD categories: INR 1,250

  • Other categories: INR 2,500


Fee payment mode: Debit/credit card or net banking 


Students must note that 15% of the seats are reserved for Scheduled Caste (SC) and 7.5% for Scheduled Tribe (ST) candidates. 27% of the seats are reserved for Other Backward Classes candidates belonging to the “non-creamy” layer (NC-OBC). Up to 10% of the seats are reserved for Economically Weaker Sections (EWS) candidates.
