New Delhi: Directed by Kortala Siva, the highly awaited film ‘Devara: Part 1’ has got a U/A certificate from the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC), according to the latest update. Jr. NTR, Janhvi Kapoor, and Saif Ali Khan all are part of the upcoming film, which is scheduled for release on September 27.
According to a press statement from the producers of ‘Devara: Part 1’, "Sparking a tidal wave of excitement, man of masses NTR Jr's Devara: Part 1 (Telugu) has been given the green light to cast off, securing a U/A certificate from the censor board."
The filmmakers adjusted and made four major changes to meet the requirements of the CBFC:
- Modified violent scenes, such as one character kicking his mother.
- A similar scene of a husband kicking his wife in the stomach has been changed, to make them less graphic.
- Cut out a scene where a character is hanging from a sword for five seconds.
- The sequence with Jr. NTR riding a shark now has a warning explaining that the shark is computer-generated. This was done to comply with India's prohibition against filming animals in harm's way.
