Ayodhya Ram Mandir Inauguration: UP Govt Announces Holiday For Academic Institutions On January 22

On the day of Ramlala Pran Pratishtha in Ayodhya: January 22, only those invited to the occasion will be allowed to attend the inauguration event.

The Uttar Pradesh government has declared a holiday for academic institutions on January 22, the day of the Ram Mandir Pran Pratishtha in Ayodhya. Following the announcement, Lucknow University has rescheduled its exams slated to be held on January 22. The exams scheduled for January 22 have been postponed and the new dates announced, news agency PTI reported a senior official as saying. 

He was further reported as Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has announced a holiday in all academic institutions on January 22, the university has also postponed the exams on that day. As per the official, the university has also released the revised exam schedule for various subjects like commerce, physics, chemistry, software development and biochemistry, and others, on its official website. 

The Uttar Pradesh government on Tuesday, announced a holiday for all academic institutions in the state on January 22, 2024, the day of the consecration ceremony of the Ayodhya Ram Temple. "Considering the significance of the consecration ceremony of the eagerly awaited new idol of Shri Ram Lalla in Ayodhya Dham, the chief minister has declared a holiday in educational institutions on January 22," an official release was quoted as saying by news agency PTI.

Notably, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be inaugurating the newly built Ram Mandir in Ayodhya on January 22, 2024, when the While the new temple shall remain closed for regular devotees for darshan, several notable people from various fields across the country have been invited to attend the Ram Mandir Pran Pratishtha ceremony. 

The consecration ceremony of the Ayodhya Ram Temple will also be telecast in several temples. Earlier last week, Delhi BJP's temple cell chairman Karnail Singh reportedly said that the ceremony will be live broadcast in 14,000 temples in the national capital. “200 people will be present at each temple to watch the ceremony live. Nearly 30 lakh people in total are expected to attend the screening across the temples in the city,” the report added.
