Woman Dragged By Car For Several Kilometres On Delhi Streets, Dies
After being hit by a car, the body became entangled in the wheel and was dragged alongside. According to the report, all five occupants of the car were arrested.
A woman was hit and dragged by a car for around four kilometres in Delhi's Sultanpuri area on early Sunday morning. The victim, who was on a two-wheeler, died on the spot, news agency PTI reported citing police officials.
After being hit by a car, the body became entangled in the wheel and was dragged alongside. According to the report, all five occupants of the car were arrested.

At 3:24 am, the police control centre received a call reporting that a car was seen dragging a body. At 4:11 am, police received another call reporting a woman's body on the road. Following that, the police alerted officers stationed at picket lines and began hunting for the vehicle, according to news agency ANI.
Anjali, the woman, was an Aman Vihar resident. Her mother, four sisters, and two brothers, one nine years old and the other thirteen, survive her. She was the eldest. Her father passed away some years ago.
"My daughter was my everything. She went to work yesterday in Punjabi Bagh. My daughter left home around 5:30 pm and said she would return by 10 pm. I was informed about her accident in the morning but I haven't seen her body so far," the victim's mother told ANI.

Swati Maliwal, chairman of the Delhi Women Commission, commented on the issue "A naked dead body of a girl was found in Kanjhawala, Delhi. According to reports, some inebriated boys hit her scooty with a car and dragged it for several kilometres. I'm summoning the Delhi Police for this severe matter. The complete truth should be revealed."

The information of the woman being sexually assaulted was dismissed by police officials. Harendra K Singh, DCP of Outer Delhi, told ANI: "It is not true that the victim was sexually assaulted. It is being wrongly circulated on social media. We will take action against those responsible for spreading such news".
