Vasant Kunj residents continue to face severe water shortages, and tankers are unable to meet the demand.

Residents of Vasant Kunj, Sector C-8, claim that there has been no water supply for the past six days. They claim they are now reliant on water tankers, which they obtain only after great work; they also claim that their phone calls and online complaints to the Delhi Jal Board (DJB) had no results, news agency ANI reported.

Speaking with ANI, Jiten Negi, resident of C-8 Vasant Kunj stated: "Delhi Jal Board hasn't supplied even a drop of water in past 6 days. Half of us keep running to DJB to request a water tanker & other half keeps waiting for water tankers. But neither did anyone come to meet us nor did we get any assurance."

Residents of the C6, C7, C8, and C9 blocks are among the worst affected, as they have been experiencing a severe water shortage for several days.

"We called up all officials of Delhi Jal Board but they don't receive calls. We even registered online complaints but to no avail. Tankers coming here don't have pipes. Should we keep the pipes at home? If you call up private tankers, they come quickly & have motors," Negi further said.

Since a week ago, residents of Vasant Kunj's Santushti Apartment, which has about 1,100 apartments and a population of 3,500, have been protesting the lack of water. The locals insisted that borewell water not be mingled with their water supply.
