Veteran Telugu actor, Krishna breathed his last in Hyderabad in the wee hours on Tuesday. Krishna was admitted to Continental Hospital in Hyderabad after suffering a cardiac arrest early morning on Monday. On Tuesday, doctors declared that the actor breathed his last. 


While offering condolences to actor Krishna's family, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi tweeted, "Deeply saddened by the news of the passing away of Telugu cinema superstar, Ghattamaneni Krishna ji. His unmatched professional discipline and work ethics set an example on conduct in public life. My heartfelt condolences to his family, friends and fans."






Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy took to Twitter and wrote, “Krishna Garu is a Telugu superstar. He is Alluri... He is our James Bond. He earned recognition for himself in the film industry. His death is a great loss for Telugu film industry and Telugu people. May God give strength to Mahesh and his family in this difficult time."






Telangana Governor Dr Tamilisai Soundararajan condoled the death of veteran Telugu actor and said "Deeply saddened to know about the demise of legendary Telugu actor Superstar Krishna garu. Heartfelt condolences to his family and fans in this hour of grief."






Telugu Desam Party (TDP) national president and former chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu mourned the death of Tollywood stalwart Ghattamaneni Krishna. Naidu in a tweet, said, "The death of actor and former MP Krishna Garu, who was called a good man, actor and a superstar in the Telugu film industry, has shocked."



A Revanth Reddy, president of the Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee, praised Krishna as a hero who added dynamism to Telugu cinema by adopting Hollywood-style depictions. He also expressed grief and offered condolences.






Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin also expressed grief over popular Telugu actor Krishna's death. Taking to Twitter, he wrote, " Saddened by the passing away of veteran Telugu actor SuperStarKrishna garu.He was a visionary who pioneered many innovations in Telugu cinema. His demise is an irreparable loss to Indian Film Industry. I convey my heartfelt condolences to Mahesh and his family."
