A man was dragged on a minibus in the Kotla Mubarakpur area of the national capital last night. The incident was caught on camera. In the video of the incident shared by news agency ANI on Monday, the man can be seen on the bonnet of the Force Traveller. The visuals were confirmed by the police, after which a probe into the matter was launched.
In another incident, two men have been arrested for allegedly killing a 56-year-old man in an incident of road rage near west Delhi's Tagore Garden metro station, police on Monday said, as reported by news agency PTI. "An incident of road rage took place near Tagore Garden metro station under the Rajouri Garden police jurisdiction around 5.30 pm on Sunday," said a police officer, as quoted by PTI.
The man named Ravinder Singh was assaulted and declared brought dead, police said. "However, the family members of Singh could not note down the number of the offending vehicle. Only clue they (family members) could provide was that the vehicle was a white colour Hyundai Creta," said the officer. Multiple police teams were formed to track the vehicle and the accused, the officer said.
In October, the police had arested two accused from Uttar Pradesh's Meerut district in connection with a viral video of a man being dragged by a car in Delhi, ANI reported. During initial interrogation, the accused revealed that they boarded the taxi as passengers and, after some time, threatened and pushed the taxi driver out of the car with the intention of robbing the vehicle, said Sagar Preet Hooda, Special Commissioner of Police (L&O).
