Amid the protest by AAP workers against the arrest of Sanjay Singh, party leader Atishi Marlena said that there is an undeclared emergency in the country.

A day after the arrest of Aam Aadmi Party MP Sanjay Singh, party leader Atishi Marlena said on Thursday that there is an undeclared emergency in the country. She slammed the Bharatiya Janata Party and said that the saffron party knows that it will lose the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. AAP workers held a protest at the party headquarters against Singh's arrest.

Sanjay Singh was arrested on Wednesday following the raid by the Enforcement Directorate at his residence in connection with the Delhi excise policy case. Speaking on the raids at Singh’s residence, the AAP leader said that nothing was recovered from Sanjay Singh's house in the ED's raid, yet he was arrested.

"Since the last four days, an undeclared emergency has been implemented in this country... First, raids were conducted on the houses of journalists, and they were detained... TMC MP Mahua Moitra was detained... Nothing was recovered from Sanjay Singh's house in the ED's raid, yet he was arrested... This is an undeclared emergency because the BJP knows they will lose the upcoming Lok Sabha elections...
