AAP MP Swati Maliwal arrived at Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal's residence as police are expected to recreate what happened to her on May 13, news agency ANI reported.


A Delhi police source told ABP News that a team from the Delhi Police, along with the forensic team reached the CM's residence. They are investigating the security personnel present on the morning of 13th May to record their statements. Additionally, the team will review all CCTV footage showing Swati Maliwal.


The source further elaborated that the police are scrutinising footage from eight CCTV cameras outside the residence and several cameras inside. "The first CCTV footage around 9:36 AM shows Swati exiting the CM's residence. The second footage at approximately 9:39 AM shows her standing outside the CM's residence with the Delhi Police team. The FSL team will examine the CCTV footage to establish the sequence of events," the police source said.

Delhi Police Visits Swati Maliwal's Residence

A Delhi Police team was at AAP MP Swati Maliwal's house here on Thursday for more than four hours in connection with the alleged assault on her at Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal's residence, officials said, as reported by news agency PTI. Led by Additional Commissioner of Police P S Kushwaha, the team went to Rajya Sabha member Maliwal's residence around 1.50 pm to seek details of the incident, they said. Kushwaha was accompanied by a woman police officer.

AAP Rajya Sabha member Sanjay Singh on Wednesday met party colleague Swati Maliwal, a day after the party accepted that Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal's personal assistant Bibhav Kumar "misbehaved" with her.

AAP Rajya Sabha member Swati Maliwal on Thursday broke her silence over the alleged assault on her, saying she has recorded her statement with the Delhi Police and the BJP should not indulge in politics over the incident. Three days after the alleged incident at Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal's residence, where his close aide Bibhav Kumar allegedly "assaulted" Maliwal, she said the past few days have been very difficult for her.


"What happened to me was very bad. I have given my statement to the police on the incident that happened to me. I hope appropriate action will be taken. The past days have been very difficult for me. I thank those who prayed. Those who tried to indulge in character assassination, said that I was doing it at the behest of the other party, God bless them too," she said in a post on X in Hindi.

According to a police officer, Maliwal told police about the incident that happened at the chief minister's residence on Monday. The officer said with Maliwal's statement recorded, police might register an FIR in connection with the matter. The police team, led by by Additional Commissioner of Police P S Kushwaha, was at Maliwal's residence for more than four hours.

Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Rajya Sabha MP and former DCW chairperson Swati Maliwal on Monday went to the Civil Lines police station and alleged that a member of the Delhi chief minister's personal staff "assaulted" her at the chief minister's official residence, police officials had said. On Tuesday, Sanjay Singh addressed a press conference and said the incident with Maliwal was a "highly condemnable" one.


On Thursday, Maliwal gave a Police complaint in the assault case against Bibhav Kumar, a report in ANI said. The complaint came hours after senior Delhi Police officials visited the Swati Maliwal's residence. She was allegedly assaulted by Bibhav Kumar, former PS of Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal.


The Delhi Police team, led by Additional Commissioner of Police P S Kushwaha, was at Maliwal's residence for more than four hours. Responding to the incident, the AAP MP stated that she has recorded her statement with the Delhi Police and the BJP should not indulge in politics over the incident.

Earlier, Maliwal's husband Naveen Jaihind said that an FIR should be lodged over the alleged incident of “misbehaviour” with the former DCW chief at Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal's official residence in the national capital. 


Jaihind called CM House "gutter house" and said that the alleged incident is dangerous and Swati's life is in danger because she has been threatened. He also claimed that Swati is being silenced and that she should come out. Jaihind also questioned MHA, Delhi Police, and NCW for maintaining "silence" on the matter and said that the police should take cognisance of the matter. He also claimed that AAP MP Sanjay Singh also knew that such an incident would take place, and he was well aware of what happened.
