Ahead of the Delhi MCD Election 2022 which will be held on December 4, the Bharatiya Janata Party, the Congress, and the Aam Aadmi Party have intensified the election campaign. All three parties have already announced their candidates. According to the Delhi State Election Commission, voting for the MCD elections will be held on December 4 from 8 am to 5.30 pm. Voting will be held for 250 wards of the Municipal Corporation of Delhi. The results of the election will be declared on December 7.
A Total Of 1349 Candidates In Fray
A total of 1349 candidates are in the fray in the Delhi Municipal Corporation elections. Of these, 709 are female candidates, while 640 are male candidates. Among the three parties, the Aam Aadmi Party has given tickets to the maximum number of women (140). AAP is followed by the BJP at 137 and the Congress at 134. BJP and Aam Aadmi Party are contesting on all 250 seats in this year’s Municipal elections, while Congress has fielded candidates on 247 seats only.
Arvind Kejriwal Began Door To Door Campaign
In the Delhi Municipal Corporation elections, there is a tussle between three major parties. The last phase of the MCD election campaign is on, which is why Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal began his first door-to-door campaign from Chirag Delhi on Tuesday.
The leaders of the Aam Aadmi Party have put their full strength into the election campaign through nukkad sabha, padayatra, road shows, public meetings, and many other mediums.
Election Campaign To End On December 2
The MCD elections campaign will end on December 2 and in the last round, these parties do not want to leave any stone unturned in their campaign.
In the Delhi Municipal Corporation elections campaign, BJP has fielded top leaders including Chief Ministers of many states, and Union Ministers. At the same time, the Aam Aadmi Party has also fielded its star campaigners in every ward in this election.
