BJP's Kapil Mishra has levelled allegations against Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) chief Arvind Kejriwal that the alleged kickbacks were given in the Delhi liquor policy scam by the accused only after they had a word with the Delhi Chief Minister. The allegations come right after the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) summoned Kejriwal to appear before it on Sunday in the excise policy case. Former AAP Minister in a tweet said those accused have confessed in front of the CBI that they face-timed CM Kejriwal before making any payments.
"Kejriwal is expected to appear before the CBI on April 16. The investigation comes after the accused in the scam reportedly confessed to having given money to Kejriwal after speaking to him on Facetime," Mishra tweeted it out in Hindi.
Manish Sisodia, a senior leader of AAP and former Deputy Chief Minister of Delhi, has been arrested by the CBI in connection with the case. Sisodia is being questioned regarding his alleged involvement in the excise policy of the Delhi government.
In August of last year, the Delhi government's excise policy for 2021-22 was scrapped, following allegations of irregularities. The Lieutenant Governor of Delhi subsequently requested CBI to investigate the matter. The CBI has since alleged that the excise policy was designed to benefit certain liquor traders who had paid bribes to government officials.

The Aam Aadmi Party has vehemently denied these allegations. Despite this, the policy was eventually scrapped. The investigation has caused controversy in political circles, with many calling for a thorough and impartial inquiry into the matter.
