The court will pronounce formal charges on August 14.

Earlier, the Delhi Police has filed a 800-page charge sheet in the Rohini Court. In the chargesheet, four out of the seven accused were charged with murder.

Out of the seven accused in the case, the police had charged Amit, Krishan, Mithun, and Manoj for murder along with other relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code. They were present inside the vehicle when the accident took place. On the other hand Deepak, Ankush and Ashutosh were booked for criminal conspiracy and destruction of evidence under section 201.

Earlier, the other two accused Ashutosh and Ankush in the Kanjhawala hit and drag case were implicated under sections related to the destruction of evidence, criminal conspiracy and other offences, as reported by the news agency ANI. The case pertains to the murder of a 20-year-old lady in Delhi. She was dragged for 13 kilometres on New Year's Day.

Anjali Singh was riding her scooter home with her friend Nidhi after a New Year's Eve party when she was hit by a vehicle shortly after 2 a.m. Anjali's leg became entangled in one of the car's wheels, and she was carried away by the vehicle. Even when the passengers noticed her arm under the wheels, they did not come to a halt. The men drove for over an hour until the body slid off.

Delhi police had already invoked section 302 IPC in the FIR. Initially, the FIR was registered under sections 120B, 304, 279 and 201 and other sections of the IPC. Seven accused persons were arrested in connection with the case, of whom two were later granted bail. The accused -- Manoj Mittal, Deepak Khanna, Amit Khanna, Krishan and Mithun -- were arrested on January 1. They are in judicial custody following interrogation, as reported by ANI.

The other two accused, Ashutosh and Ankush, were arrested later on. The investigating officer will file the chargesheet before the metropolitan magistrate Sanya Dalal. In what was a shocking incident at the Shani Bazar Road, the victim was dragged 13 kilometres under a car. The accused drove around in the car for two hours, Delhi police had submitted while seeking the remand of the accused persons.
