A distressing incident unfolded inside a Delhi Transport Corporation (DTC) bus as a woman was subjected to an assault by a homeguard. The incident, captured on video, quickly circulated on social media, prompting outrage from viewers and demands for action against the homeguard. ABP Live could not independently verify the video's authenticity. The video is not shared due to its graphic nature.

The unverified and undated video depicts a woman in extreme distress as a Delhi homeguard can be seen physically assaulting her within the confines of a DTC bus. The woman's cries of pain are audible as the homeguard continues his aggression. In a harrowing scene, the bus conductor is witnessed attempting to intervene and halt the homeguard's actions as the woman pleads for help.

However, a bystander soon came to the woman's aid. In a swift act of help, he wielded his helmet to defend her and force the homeguard away from the woman. During this intervention, the bystander questioned the homeguard about his actions, to which the homeguard reportedly claimed that the woman was his wife.

According to a report on the Hindi news channel website Aaj Tak, the video is from near the Rajghat area and is a couple of days old. The initial investigation has revealed that the individuals involved are a husband and wife, currently embroiled in a domestic dispute. They also have an ongoing court case related to their marital issues, which appears to have led to this altercation between them. As per Delhi Police, no formal complaint has been registered by the woman involved in the incident so far. Further action will be taken once a complaint is lodged, the report said.
