A fresh spell of rain lashed parts of the national capital on Saturday during its early hours. Meanwhile, a massive traffic snarl was witnessed at the Delhi Jaipur Expressway near IFFCO Chowk after the rainfall last night. According to an IMD official, there would be a generally cloudy sky with the possibility of moderate rain and thundershowers in the city on Saturday and the maximum and minimum temperatures are expected to settle around 34 and 26 Deg Celsius, respectively. The temperature at 5:30 am stood at 26.2 Deg Celsius.
News agency ANI shared visuals from Vijay Chowk this morning after rain brought relief to the locals from the heat.
ANI also shared the visual of the Delhi Jaipur Expressway near IFFCO Chowk. A sea of vehicle lights and hundreds of cars were seen stuck last night.
Delhi continues to battle flood-like situations. The water level in the Yamuna river in Delhi at 7 am on Saturday stood at 205.38 metres.

According to reports, the Noida-Delhi Kalindi Kunj border also reported a traffic snarl with vehicles moving at a snail's pace last night. Some commuters even had to cross the bridge over Yamuna in half an hour as compared to five minutes on other days. The maximum temperature in the city on Friday settled at 34.3 degrees Celsius, a notch below normal, while the minimum temperature was recorded at 26.6 degrees Celsius, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) said.
According to a PTI report, Civil Lines, Laxmi Nagar and Lajpat Nagar received rainfall and parts of the city, including Jasola and Okhla, saw overcast skies on Friday. The humidity level hovered around 90 to 72 per cent.
