Delhi Vigilance Minister Atishi has alleged Chief Secretary Naresh Kumar of using his position to enable a "lucrative collaboration" between the Institute of Liver and Biliary Sciences and a company in which his son was a partner, reported PTI, citing government sources.

The Chief secretary or the Institute of Liver and Biliary Sciences (ILBS) were not immediately available for a response.

In a fresh report, submitted to Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal by Atishi, the company was formed just 20 days after Kumar's appointment as chief secretary on April 20, 2022, reported the news agency.

The report follows an earlier one submitted by Aitishi on a land acquisition matter in south west Delhi's Bamnoli village.

According to the report, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) of the company of Kumar's son with ILBS to work together on conducting research and studies on simulation of various endoscopy procedures using augmented reality was executed on January 24.

Naresh Kumar's son Karan Chauhan's company MetaMix was allegedly tasked with the job of making an AI software "without tender" from the Delhi government's ILBS Hospital. Also, it was alleged that the company made huge profit - in crores - out of the contract.

The supplementary report submitted by the Delhi Minister on November 16, 2023, also states that the company owned by Kumar's son's was allegedly formed only seven months ago and had no experience in making AI-based software, reported ANI.

In her report, the Delhi Vigilance Minister has recommended to terminate the agreement  between MetaMix and ILBS Hospital and the matter be referred to the Central Bureau of Investigation.
