Delhi Rains: Several parts of the national capital received heavy rain on Friday morning, causing waterlogging and leaving several roads inundated. In the visuals shared by news agency ANI, traffic snarls were seen at ITO as rain continued to lash parts of the capital.

This comes a day after the India Meteorological Department (IMD) predicted a generally cloudy sky along with heavy rain in the next few days, keeping the mercury in check. 






The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted generally cloudy skies and moderate to heavy rainfall accompanied by gusty winds in the city over the next few days.


Amid the heavy rain in the city, a portion of the roof collapsed at terminal-1 of the Delhi airport leaving at least four people injured. As per ANI, three fire tenders were rushed to the spot, according to an official from Delhi Fire Services. The incident occurred around Around 5.30 AM. Visuals from the spot showed several cars trapped under the debris. The injured were rushed to a nearby hospital.


Monsoon Set To Arrive In Delhi In 2-3 Days, Says IMD


India Meteorological Department (IMD) said on Thursday that the monsoon is expected to arrive in the national capital in the next two to three days, bringing relief from the summer heat.


The IMD said in a statement that conditions are likely to become favourable for the advance of the southwest monsoon in Delhi during the next two to three days.


On Thursday, parts of the city received spells of heavy rainfall, bringing relief from the scorching heat.
