Two people on a bike attacked a woman in Delhi’s Rohini area on April 13 and snatched the chain she was wearing at gunpoint. Delhi police said the investigation is underway to find out more about the matter. In a video circulating on the social media platform, the woman can be seen falling down at the entrance gate of the shop after she was attacked suddenly. She was also heard shouting for help but nobody came to her rescue. Although the shopkeeper tried to help her, he retreated after seeing that the men were brandishing a gun in the air.
The Delhi police are yet to comment further on the matter. The CCTV footage was shared by news agency ANI on Twitter.
Meanwhile, in a separate incident of crimes by bike-borne miscreants, an advocate was shot dead by two bike-borne men on April 1 evening in southwest Delhi's Dwarka Sector-1 area. Police got information around 4.20 pm regarding the murder.
The deceased was identified as Advocate Virender Kumar Narwal. It was found that two assailants on a motorcycle shot at the advocate while he was in an Ertiga car, Deputy Commissioner of Police (Dwarka) M Harsh Vardhan said, as reported by the news agency PTI. He further informed that multiple teams are working on the case to nab the suspects.
The forensic experts along with the crime team also collected evidence from the spot on Saturday in connection with the probe, police said. The Delhi Police officials probing the murder of the advocate revealed on Sunday that the two bike-borne men who shot at the victim have been identified as his distant relatives, as reported by the news agency PTI.

The police suspected that the victim was attacked by the duo in 2017 as well. According to the police, Advocate Virender Kumar, a resident of Dwarka Sector-12, was a distant relative of the suspects and belonged to the same Sanoth village in outer Delhi's Narela. The two parties were engaged in fights for years over their ancestral property.
Over the years, the advocate had developed enmity with several people, including his relatives, in his native place over the property dispute, a senior police officer said, as reported by PTI. The advocate was given security cover by the Delhi Police after he was attacked by two men in the Prashant Vihar area in 2017. However, the security cover was later withdrawn in 2021, he said.
