A man in China won 365 days of paid leave at his company’s annual dinner. Can’t believe it? Well, the news of him winning  the  grand prize has gone viral on the internet, there is proof of it going around the internet that has completely left people blazing with jealousy. The unnamed company's dinner took place in Shenzhen, Guangdong, reported the Straits Times.


In the viral video circulating on Chinese social media, the man reportedly holding a managerial position in the firm can be seen sitting on a chair  accompanied by a woman and child while holding a large cheque with the words "365 days of paid leaves" written on it.


An administrative employee at the company, identified as Ms Chen, can be heard in the video explaining that the winner had sought to clarify repeatedly if the prize was real.






According to the media portal, the company’s annual dinner was taking place after three years due to the Covid-19 pandemic. A lucky draw was also organised to provide the employees some relief from the work stress.

The lucky draw raffle contained both prizes and penalties but the chance to win the jackpot prize of a year’s worth of paid leaves was rare. However, the employee beat all odds to emerge as the winner.


The administrative employee at the company said that the company will discuss with the winner if he would prefer to encash or enjoy his paid leave, reported the media portal.


The prize has raised envy among social media users in China with some seeking vacancies in the company and others questioning the practicality of the prize
