In a major accident, a pandal collapsed at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium's gate number 2 in Delhi. Many people are feared to be trapped under the rubble. Emergency services, including the fire services personnel and Delhi Police, are on the spot and conducting rescue operations. Around 10 to 12 people have been injured. 






The injured have been shifted to Safdarjung and AIIMS for treatment. 


On pandal collapse incident in Delhi's Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium, Asif Ansari, Medical technician-Emergency services of Lal Bahadur Shastri Hospital said: "10-12 people who have suffered injuries have been shifted to hospital. Rescue operation is underway."


After receiving the information, Delhi Fire Services personnel rushed to the spot and carried out a search and rescue operation at the site of pandal collapse on Delhi's Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium premises.






"Today at around 11am, one pandal being installed for a wedding function at Gate 2 of Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium collapsed. Around 10-12 people were suspected trapped. They were removed and taken to AIIMS Trauma Hospital for treatment. As of now, no causality has been reported. Police, Fire and Ambulance are there on the spot for other rescue efforts," Delhi police stated.

The stadium's security guard stated that the event occurred when the workers were at lunch, and that no significant damage was detected.
