A Delhi Police inspector was killed after a truck hit his car from behind in west Delhi’s Punjabi Bagh area on Sunday morning. The incident occurred when the inspector’s car had suddenly stopped due to some mechanical issues. When the truck crashed into his vehicle while he was standing at the front of his car. The accident took place on Rohtak Road, near Madipur Metro Station when the car was hit by the truck from behind, Deputy Commissioner of Police (west) Vichitra Veer told PTI.
Trucker driver flees the scene
As per the report, the deceased identified as Jagbir Singh was posted under the security unit. Meanwhile, the driver of the truck had left the vehicle and fled the scene. A part of the truck had climbed over the divider due to the impact. Legal actions have been taken and efforts are underway to trace the truck driver.

The police also told the news agency PTI that some other details about the case has come to light and are also being checked by the police.
