Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Monday skipped the seventh summons issued by the Enforcement Directorate in connection with the Delhi excise policy case, news agency ANI reported. The Aam Aadmi Party stated that the central probe agency should wait for the court's ruling, which would be issued following the hearing on March 16.
"Delhi CM and AAP National Convenor Arvind Kejriwal will not go to ED today. The matter is in the court and the next hearing is on March 16. Instead of sending summons daily, the ED should wait for the court's decision. We will not leave the INDIA alliance. Modi government should not create pressure like this," AAP stated in an issued statement.
Earlier this month, the central probe agency issued the seventh summon to the AAP's national convenor and asked him to appear before it on February 26 for questioning in connection with the excise policy case at its headquaters in Delhi.

The summon was issued days after Kejriwal skipped the anti-corruption agency's sixth summons, claiming that the issue of their "validity" is now before the Court. "Instead of sending repeated summons, the ED should wait for the Court's verdict," the AAP stated last week.
In response, the ED filed a complaint, claiming that a local court had prima facie found the Delhi CM guilty of "disobeying" the previous notifications given to him in this matter, warranting the 7th summons.
