Delhi: Gunshots Fired At Luxury Car Showroom In Tilak Nagar, 3 Injured. Police Suspect Extortion Bid

Delhi Crime News: A shooting occurred at a second-hand luxury car showroom in West Delhi's Tilak Nagar, injuring three people due to shattered glass.

New Delhi: A shooting incident occurred at the Fusion Cars showroom in the Tilak Nagar area of West Delhi, on Monday, leaving three individuals injured, including a worker affiliated with a political party. The assailants, reportedly targeted a showroom specialising in second-hand luxury cars.

Multiple shots have been fired aiming toward the glass and in the air, as reported by ANI.

According to news agency PTI, initial investigations reveal that the attackers fired multiple shots, targeting the glass windows and firing rounds into the air. Consequently, three individuals sustained injuries caused by shattered glass and are currently receiving medical treatment. No bullet wounds have been reported, police said.

A police official stated that the incident appeared to be a potential extortion attempt directed at the showroom owner. The matter is being further probed, he added, as per PTI.

3 Of Family Gunned Down In Lucknow

In another shooting incident, three people were shot dead in broad daylight in Uttar Pradesh's Lucknow in an area under the jurisdiction of Malihabad police station on Feb 2. Investigation revealed that the incident occurred due to a land dispute, leading to indiscriminate firing by assailants, news agency PTI reported. 

The victims were attacked during the daylight hours, resulting in chaos and panic in the Rehmatnagar locality of Malihabad.
