The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has conducted raids at the residence of Delhi Chief Minister and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) supremo's Wife Sunita Kejriwal's distant relative, sources told ABP News on Thursday. The raids are in connection with an old FEMA case. Sources revealed that the premises being raided by the central agency belong to SP Gupta, which is located in the Sundar Nagar area of Delhi.

As per the sources, the raids were conducted on March 26 (Tuesday) and continued till March 27 (Wednesday).

Earlier on Wednesday, Sunita Kejriwal had said that Delhi CM will make a "big expose" related to the "so-called excise policy scam" before the court today. She further stated that he would also present the "evidence to show where the proceeds of crime went" to the court.

It is to be noted that Sunita Kejriwal has been making more public appearances since the arrest of her husband by the Enforcement Directorate in the money laundering case connected to the alleged excise policy scam.

Since Arvind Kejriwal's arrest on March 21, Sunita Kejriwal has publicly conveyed his message twice through video statements. Sunita, sitting in the chair from which her husband delivered numerous addresses, defended him and read messages on his behalf.

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has chastised Sunita Kejriwal for speaking to the media twice since the CM's arrest. Union minister Anurag Thakur compared the move to that of former Bihar chief minister Rabri Devi, claiming that when former Bihar CM Lalu Prasad Yadav was arrested in the fodder scam, his wife Rabri Devi began to make announcements and eventually became Bihar's chief minister.

Sunita is a 1994-batch Indian Revenue Services (IRS) officer. She has served in the Income Tax (I-T) department for 22 years.
