Aadmi Party workers on Friday staged a protest at the ITO foot over bridge against the arrest of the Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, who was arrested by the Enforcement Directorate on March 21 in connection with the Excise Policy case.


A video of the party workers, wherein they can be seen protesting has also surfaced. 






Earlier the party workers had staged a similar protest at the ITO foot-over bridge on March 24, denouncing the arrest of Arvind Kejriwal.


Delhi HC Slams Former AAP MLA Sandeep Kumar Over Plea Seeking Delhi CM's Removal


The Delhi High Court on Wednesday slammed the former Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) MLA Sandeep Kumar for filing a petition seeking the removal of the Delhi CM from his post. The HC also imposed a fine of Rs 50,000 on him for moving the plea despite the previous court orders reagrding the matter.


Earlier, the court had stated that it was for the Exeutive to decide and there is no legal bar on Kejriwal to continue as a CM from the judical custody.

Delhi BJP Chief Virendra Sachdeva Injured During Protest


The Bharatiya Janata Party workers on Wednesday staged a protest demanding the Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal's resignation. Furing the protest, Delhi BJP president Virendra Sachdeva was injured when the police used water cannons on the saffron party workers and leaders to control the situation.


Thereafter, Sachdeva was admitted to RML hospital after he sustained an injury on his shoulder and complained of breathing problems. 


While addressing the BJP workers before a march towards the AAP headquarters, Sachdeva stated that Kejriwal had no moral or legal right to remain the chief minister.


"He should resign immediately after the high court dismissed his plea against his arrest," PTI quoted the Delhi BJP chief as saying.
