A day after Delhi Court sent AAP chief into judicial custoldy till April 15, AAP leaders on Tuesday met with Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal's wife Sunita Kejriwal. AAP legislators told Sunita Kejriwal that Delhi's 2 crore people stand with Kejriwal. The MLAs informed Sunita Kejriwal that "the Opposition plans to initiate a campaign demanding his resignation."


"Do not resign at any cost, CM Arvind Kejriwal should run the Delhi government from jail," AAP leaders told Sunita. 


The meeting took place two days after Sunita Kejriwal delivered her inaugural public speech on Sunday during a display of solidarity at Delhi's Ramlila Maidan by the Opposition Indian National Developmental Inclusive Alliance (INDIA), ahead of the general elections. She referred to her husband as "a lion" who she believes will not remain "behind bars" for long.

Delhi Chief Minister and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) National Convener Arvind Kejriwal was remanded to judicial custody until April 15 on Monday. Following the court's ruling, he was sent to Delhi's Tihar Jail later in the evening. During the proceedings, the Enforcement Directorate informed the Rouse Avenue Court that Kejriwal had implicated AAP leaders Atishi and Saurabh in the excise policy scam case.


Kejriwal asserted that one of the accused, Vijay Nair, former communication-in-charge of AAP, reported to Atishi.


Meanwhile, Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan, a day following the INDIA bloc’s ‘Maha Rally’ to "save democracy," remarked that Kejriwal’s arrest served as a lesson for the Congress. He questioned the shift in their stance from when Congress leader Manish Sisodia was detained until now.


AAP leader and Delhi Minister Atishi announced on X that she would unveil an "explosive expose" at 10 am on Tuesday.
