BJP Would Send ED-CBI Even To Lord Ram Asking To Join Party Or Go To Jail: Kejriwal's Swipe At Centre

Kejriwal trained his guns at the BJP, saying it came to power with a massive mandate but pursued a model of 'vinash' by targeting opposition parties using ED and CBI.

Delhi News: Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal took a swipe at the Bharatiya Janata Party-led Central government on Saturday and said that if Lord Ram existed in this era, the BJP would send the Enforcement Directorate and the CBI to his home too and would have asked him to join the party.

Citing eight summons issued to him, the AAP convener charged that the plan was prepared by the BJP to arrest him and topple his government by sending him to jail. The Delhi CM launched a scathing attack at the saffron party and said, "If Lord Ram existed in this era, they (the BJP) would send the ED and the CBI to his home too, and asked him at gunpoint whether he wanted to go to the BJP or jail."

Kejriwal lashed out at the Centre and said that the saffron party was following a model of 'vinash' or destruction by targeting opposition parties. He further stated that unlike the BJP, the AAP government in Delhi was pursuing a model of 'vikas' or development.

Speaking in the Delhi Assembly, Kejriwal trained his guns at the BJP, saying it came to power at the Centre with a massive mandate in May 2014 but pursued a model of 'vinash' by targeting opposition parties using the Enforcement Directorate and the CBI against them. He accused the saffron party of poaching opposition MLAs to topple their governments and also stalling the good work being done by them.

The AAP National Convenor also claimed that the BJP wanted to finish the Aam Aadmi Party and that a plan was being prepared to send him to jail.

While speaking in the Delhi Assembly, Kejriwal hailed the 2024–25 budget of the AAP government tabled in the House recently, saying that it was such a good budget that people are now saying that the AAP-Congress combine will win all seven Lok Sabha seats in Delhi.

The Delhi Chief Minister stated that every woman in a family will receive Rs 1,000 each under the Mukhya Mantri Mahila Samman Yojna announced in the budget. Kejriwal also remembered former deputy chief minister Manish Sisodia, presently in jail in an excise policy-related case. "I hope next year he will present the budget in the Assembly," he said.

The Delhi CM also lauded Finance Minister Atishi for presenting a "magnificent" budget that took care of every section of society.
