Jodhpur News: A three-year-old girl was allegedly abducted and raped by an unidentified man in Rajasthan's Jodhpur. The child was sleeping with her parents outside a temple when she was taken. She was discovered wrapped in a stole around 6:30 am by a woman setting up her stall. The girl had visible bruises and bite marks on her lips and back.


Assistant Commissioner of Police Anil Kumar stated that CCTV footage captured a man carrying the girl away around 2 am, news agency PTI reported. "We are checking the CCTV recordings and trying to identify the accused," Kumar said. 


Deputy Commissioner of Police (West) Rajesh Kumar Yadav revealed that the girl's family, originally from Madhya Pradesh, was living in a slum in Jodhpur. The child's father works as a ragpicker, and her mother suffers from mental health issues. The girl also has a five-year-old brother, PTI reported.

Bengaluru Woman Sexually Assaulted By Biker Who Gave Her Lift


In a separate case, a final-year degree student was sexually assaulted by an unknown biker whom she had hitched a ride from. According to Additional Commissioner of Police (East Zone) Raman Gupta, the woman was returning to Hebbagodi after a get-together in Koramangala when the attack occurred.


"A man from whom she had taken a lift made a criminal assault and raped her," Gupta told reporters, as per news agency PTI. "We have registered a rape case and started an investigation."


Gupta confirmed that initial investigations suggest the suspect is the man who offered her the lift. "There is only one suspect. The man who gave her a lift is suspected to be the rapist and our investigations are ongoing," he added, as quoted by PTI. The police have formed five teams to expedite the investigation, and Gupta assured that the culprit would be arrested soon.
