'Acid Bath Murderer': UK's John George Haigh Killed 6 People To Grab Their Wealth, Dissolved Bodies In Acid

John George Haigh was born on 24 July, 1909, in Stamford, Lincolnshire. He was executed by hanging on 10 August, 1949, after his efforts to move a plea of insanity failed.

Between 1944 and 1949, a British man killed six people, with an aim to grab their wealth. He shot them, then dissolved their bodies in sulphuric acid, convinced that he would get away with the killings in the absence of a body to prove murder. And he did get away, for years, until a perceptive cop sensed something amiss when he went to file a missing person’s report for his last victim.
