A shocking incident has come to light in South Delhi's Hauz Khas area, where a 14-year-old boy was subjected to degrading acts by three of his friends. The perpetrators recorded the distressing incident and shared the video on social media, showcasing the young boy who was forced to crouch at knifepoint while his friends compelled him to lick their shoes and perform an unnatural act, according to the police, news agency PTI reported.

The video led to apprehension of the accused, the Delhi Police informed on Monday, as per PTI.

The victim's mother discovered the video on her mobile phone on Sunday night and promptly reported it to the local police. Earlier, the Delhi Police had stated that one of the three juveniles had sent the video. 

Responding to a PCR call on Sunday night, local police swiftly arrived at the scene where the caller reported an unnatural act committed against her 14-year-old son.

As per PTI, an officer stated, "They took the boy for a medical exam and then to counselling".

According to the victim's account, he was returning home on Saturday around 6.30 pm after playing at Central Park in Hauz Khas when three friends, aged between 12 and 14 years, coerced him into an isolated place. At knifepoint, one of the accused subjected him to a degrading act, capturing the incident on their mobile phone. The victim was threatened with dire consequences if he disclosed the incident, leading him to conceal the ordeal from his parents.

Based on the victim's statement, a case has been registered under sections 377 (unnatural sex) and 506 (criminal intimidation) of the Indian Penal Code, along with section 12 of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act at Hauz Khas Police Station. The three accused, all juveniles, are currently in police custody and are being questioned, PTI's report stated.

An additional police officer suggested that the motive behind the crime might be an attempt to establish dominance in the locality, as the accused minors reside in the victim's neighbourhood.

In an effort to trace the origin of the disturbing video on Instagram, the police have reached out to Meta, the parent company, seeking cooperation in providing the URL and other pertinent details related to the upload. The video has also been submitted to the lab for forensic examinations, PTI reported.
