Actor-turned-politician Vijay, on the 146th birth anniversary of rationalist leader EV Ramasamy Periyar, paid floral tribute at Periyar Thidal in Chennai on Tuesday. Dressed in a white shirt and beige pants, 'Thalapathy' Vijay offered a floral tribute to his idol, marking his respect for the social reformer known for his progressive ideas.
Earlier, a release from Vijay on the occasion of Periyar's birthday also said, "Let's pledge to travel in the path of Periyar's word by upholding women rights, women education, women safety, equality, equal rights and social justice."
